In the mouth and throat area, the lighting conditions are very poor. In order to accommodate for these conditions, KaWe has created a means of easy intubation with a high safety level using further-developed light technology (LED – with up to 70 % more light) and the latest F.O. fibre optics. The powerful LED light (2.5 V or 3.5 V) is in the handle of all KaWe fibre optic laryngoscopes. The approved xenon illumination is still available. By the way, you can update the xenon illumination by simply changing the LED lamp in the handle without using further elements. An extensive selection of F.O. blades from the fibre optic line (Macintosh, Miller, Foregger, KaWe FLAPLIGHT®, TEPRO, KaWe MEGALIGHT®, Economy, Polio) enables a matching of even very difficult anatomic proportions. The Macintosh blades are available with integrated as well as with exchangeable fibre optics. Our technicians especially value an easy handling and guarantee that the blades can be rapidly replaced. All blade types are made of stainless steel, are naturally compatible and can be sterilized in an autoclave at 134°C.

The light source is one of the most important parts of a laryngoscope. Only when the anaesthesiologist, emergency doctor or emergency medical technician has an optimal view can the intubation be successful. This is important for the safety of both doctor and patient. KaWe has therefore developed lighting systems that improve the lighting conditions by 70%. This excellent illumination is backed by the latest LED-light technology and the most modern fibre optics.

  • more than 4000 sterilization cycles in the autoclave at 134°C

  • xenon lamp with a service life of more than 20 hours
  • the protective lamp cap made of metal ensures a longer service life of the xenon lamp
